Inventory Specialist
**Job Title: Inventory Specialist** **Job Description** The Inventory Specialist will spend 75% of their time in the warehouse performing receiving and inventory management duties while collaborating closely with the buyer. This role requires forklift operation skills and includes some office duties involving the inventory management system. The position is crucial for organizing the warehouse and ensuring efficient picking for production needs, working closely with the Buyer and Plant Manager. **Responsibilities** + Perform receiving duties for all incoming materials, including unloading trucks. + Organize and store materials in warehouse areas, tagging and numbering pick locations. + Review, match, and sign off on all pertinent receiving documents, ensuring correct submission. + Store and track bin locations accurately. + Hold and release raw materials based on QC assessment and test results. + Rotate products in the warehouse following FIFO rules. + Tag products with XF labels and product ID numbers. + Conduct cycle counts to verify and validate inventory against system counts. + Identify expired products, alert the team, and determine a course of action. + Assist in loading and unloading trucks and support shipping as needed. + Prepare products for safe shipping. + Communicate effectively between all teams. + Provide excellent customer service. + Maintain a clean and safe work environment. + Cross-train with warehouse and production personnel for backup and need-based services. + Perform other duties as needed. **Essential Skills** + Proficiency in operating a forklift or willingness and ability to learn. + Experience in inventory, shipping, and receiving. + Physical ability to lift up to 60 pounds repetitively. + Basic math skills, including converting kilos to pounds. + Familiarity with MS Office for documentation. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Experience with inventory control, data entry, and cycle counts. + Ability to read and understand standard operating procedures (SOPs). **Why Work Here?** Join a growing company that offers great opportunities for advancement. The work involves three mixers running throughout the shift. The dress code includes pants, a t-shirt, closed-toe non-slip shoes, and adherence to GMP standards such as hair nets and beard nets. A shift supervisor and a senior production worker will provide basic training. Employees are required to keep non-slip shoes at work to maintain hygiene in the production and warehouse areas. **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Ephrata, Pennsylvania. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
