Inventory Planner

**CTG is seeking to fill an Inventory Planner position for our client.**
**Location:** Alpharetta, GA (Hybrid – 3 days onsite, 2 days remote)
**Duration:** 6 months
**Duties:**
+ Own short-term (0–2 month horizon) finished goods inventory management across a multi-location distribution network to maximize service levels.
+ Monitor inventory health, forecast consumption, case fill, and customer/item-level metrics to identify and resolve time-sensitive gaps.
+ Proactively manage inventory policy gaps using alert systems and analytics.
+ Rebuild near-term inventory plans in response to supply and demand variability in alignment with S&OE leadership.
+ Execute item transitions and new item introductions, including pipeline fill, end-of-life runout, and customer inventory resets.
+ Maintain item/location-level inventory master data to enable effective systemic inventory control.
+ Identify, escalate, and support mitigation of inventory risks.
+ Partner closely with Manufacturing to ensure production plan adherence.
+ Serve as primary point of contact for Customer Operations on order and lifecycle-related issues.
+ Coordinate with Deployment, Logistics, Distribution, Transportation, and Network Planning teams to ensure proper inventory placement and short-term capacity alignment.
+ Collaborate with Sales as needed on customer allocation decisions.
**Skills:**
+ Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
+ Solid understanding of end-to-end supply chain operations and short-term execution tradeoffs.
+ Experience working with customer operations and responding to changing demand signals.
+ High attention to detail with the ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced environment.
+ Proven ability to prioritize quickly, adapt to change, and influence cross-functional partners.
+ Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
**Experience:**
+ Experience in inventory planning, supply chain execution, or related roles within a multi-node distribution environment.
+ Demonstrated success managing short-term inventory and cross-functional supply chain coordination.
**Education:**
+ Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Operations, or a related field preferred.
Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group are required.
