About the department

The GSC&BD GBS unit is in Bengaluru, India, with our headquarters in Denmark. We are focused on consolidating supply chain activities and driving performance improvement. As part of the Global Operational Planning team, our role involves continuous improvement of our operational planning processes and systems to ensure a balanced supply plan on a global scale. The atmosphere is dynamic and collaborative, with a strong emphasis on teamwork.

 

The position

As an Inventory Deployment Planner, you will:

 

Own finished‑goods inventory corridors and safety stock levels for assigned markets, ensuring uninterrupted service while balancing stockout and overstock risks across the network.

 

Monitor inventory, demand trends, and capacity signals continuously to spot risks early and trigger timely mitigation actions before service levels are affected.

 

Convert validated demand into shipment plans and late‑stage packing instructions, maintaining forward visibility on logistics and distribution risks to enable proactive intervention.

 

Serve as the key contact for affiliates/markets on all inventory matters, aligning on demand priorities and trade‑offs while communicating supply constraints clearly and actionably.

 

Manage inventory cases through structured ticketing, resolving issues at the lowest level, escalating only well‑documented cases, and collaborating with planning, regional, brand, and analytics teams to align plans, improve processes, track KPIs, and support IDP model capabilities.

 

Qualifications:

We are looking for a candidate with the following qualifications:

 

Masters within supply chain management (or equivalent) from a well-recognised institute

8+ years or more relevant experience in supply chain planning, inventory management, network roles

Experience working directly with commercial affiliates and regions

Strong understanding of end-to-end supply chain concepts (Plan–Make–Deliver)

Experience working in Global planning setups

Hands-on experience with: SAP ECC/R3 (mandatory), Advanced planning tools (OMP preferred), Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint (advanced use)
