Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Inventory Coordinator to lead the development and implementation of a comprehensive inventory management system within our ERP platform. The successful candidate will play a key role in establishing standardized naming conventions, optimizing material flow, and developing protocols to maintain inventory accuracy and consistency.

ResponsibilitiesSpearhead the setup of a comprehensive inventory management system within the M1 ERP platform.Establish standardized naming conventions for inventory items.Lead the renaming initiative for existing inventory parts to align with the new naming structure.Strategically map the production floor to designate bin locations and optimize material flow.Roll out a labeling and tagging system for bins, storage areas, and inventory components.Partner with Finance and Operations leadership to develop a Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) for tracking work-in-progress (WIP) materials.Provide hands-on training and mentorship to team members on inventory best practices.Design and enforce inventory control protocols to maintain accuracy and consistency.Conduct weekly cycle counts and coordinate semi-annual full inventory audits.Monitor stock levels and implement adjustments to maintain optimal inventory.Perform regular audits and cycle counts to ensure data integrity.Work closely with the Purchasing team to analyze inventory trends, forecast demand, and support procurement decisions.Foster a collaborative and solution-oriented environment across departments.Identify and execute process improvement opportunities to boost efficiency and reduce operational costs.Supervise and coach material handling staff to ensure high performance and accountability.Promote a culture of precision and ownership within the inventory team.Serve as the go-to expert for inventory functionality within the M1 ERP system.Skills and QualificationsMinimum of 4 years’ experience in inventory management within a manufacturing setting.Proven track record of implementing inventory systems from the ground up.Analytical capabilities with proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Excel.Exceptional organizational and problem-solving skills.Effective communicator with strong interpersonal abilities.Work Environment

The work schedule is Monday through Thursday from 7:00am to 4:00pm, and Friday from 7:00am to Noon or 12:30pm due to summer hours.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $31.00 - $34.50/hr.
