Inventory Controller - 3rd Shift
Job Title: Inventory Controller - 3rd ShiftJob Description We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Inventory Controller to join our team on the 3rd shift. This role is based 100% onsite at our Knoxville, TN lab, where you will be responsible for managing the shipping, receiving, storing, and distribution of materials, parts, supplies, specimens, and equipment. This position requires adherence to safety regulations and company policies while maintaining a professional image. Responsibilities + Perform physical and administrative tasks involved in the shipping, receiving, storing, and distribution of materials, parts, supplies, specimens, and equipment. + Receive materials, supplies, and specimens from delivery services and document receipts on appropriate logs. + Unpack and reconcile products against packing lists. + Troubleshoot, communicate, investigate, and resolve in-bound and out-bound sample shipment delays. + Organize all materials, supplies, and specimens in appropriate storage areas and inspect stocks. + Prepare and organize materials for shipment to other locations and maintain shipping records. + Follow all safety regulations, Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) policies, and rules, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). + Maintain the facility, including laboratory, grounds, and parking areas, as per company standards and SOPs. + Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), company policies, and procedures while promoting EHS/safety actions. + Maintain a professional image and confidentiality of all company records and information. + Lift up to 50 pounds as part of daily tasks. + Perform other job-related duties as assigned. Essential Skills + High School diploma or equivalent + Basic computer skills + Ability to lift or carry up to 50 lbs + Ability to understand, remember, and apply oral and/or written instructions + Ability to complete routine forms or conduct routine oral communications + Frequently walking, standing, and bending with a moderate amount of time squatting Additional Skills & Qualifications + Familiarity with SAP is preferred + Prior experience in material handling and/or maintenance + Experience in shipping, receiving, inventory, or logistics Work Environment This position is located at our Knoxville, TN lab and is 100% onsite. The work schedule is Monday to Friday, 10:30 PM to 7:00 AM, with opportunities for additional hours, though not required. The role is in a fast-paced environment with frequent interruptions and requires the use of personal protective equipment. You will frequently walk, stand, and bend, and occasionally be exposed to hazardous chemicals, extreme temperatures, and bloodborne pathogens. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Knoxville, Tennessee. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $18.75 - $18.75/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
