About the Job
Position Summary
This position is responsible for Physical Inventory processing, including partnering with stores to coordinate and track key inventory events.
Responsibilities (include but are not limited to):
Serve as a point of contact for Physical Inventory questions and issues
Review daily, weekly, and monthly inventory reports
Prepare monthly journal entries related to the accounting close cycle
Reconcile store physical inventories and live pet cycle counts
Partner with stores to resolve inventory issues, including inaccurate on-hands, DC shipment questions, inter-store transfers, and negative on-hands
Participate in a scheduled on-call rotation, including after-hours support for time-sensitive inventory issues
Update procedures on a monthly basis
Demonstrate the ability to multi-task and meet deadlines
Share responsibility for on-call night phone support for scheduled store physical inventories
Complete assigned ad hoc projects and support process improvement initiatives
Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures
Education / Experience:
Associate’s degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school
One to two years of accounting experience preferred
Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office
