Cherry Picker Operator/Inventory Control Specialist

Job Description

We are seeking a meticulous and detail-oriented Inventory Control Specialist to manage daily physical cycle counts, research and correct inventory-related discrepancies, and provide accurate data and reports. This role involves using Eclipse and Excel to ensure data accuracy and involves observing, auditing, recording, reporting, and correcting discrepancies in inventory control operations.

ResponsibilitiesManage and conduct physical daily cycle counts.Research and correct inventory-related variances.Provide accurate data and reports to the Inventory Control Supervisor or Manager.Observe, audit, record, report, and correct discrepancies in all areas of operations involving inventory control.Identify barriers to performance, assist in identifying and analyzing root causes and effects, and develop action plans to resolve issues.Essential SkillsExperience in inventory control.Proficiency with Eclipse and Excel.Experience in a large distribution environment.Computer literacy.Experience performing cycle counts.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience in a large distribution environment is preferred.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Why Work Here?

Work Environment

The work environment is a large, fast-paced warehouse spanning over 220,000 square feet with more than 25 bay doors and a variety of electrical parts. The warehouse is organized with racks and a wire room section, ensuring a clean and efficient workspace. This role specifically involves working in the large pick segment, featuring floor-to-ceiling racks and a wire guidance system.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Upper Marlboro, Maryland.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00/hr.
