**Job Title: Inventory Clerk**
Job Description
The Inventory Clerk will work in the warehouse area, conducting finished goods and raw material counts to ensure storage locations are accurate. This role involves daily reconciliation of inventory, investigating discrepancies, and understanding core warehouse processes such as receiving, picking, shipping, and custom packaging. The Inventory Clerk must understand and implement the first-expired-first-out (FEFO) and first-in-first-out (FIFO) principles. Monitoring and identifying short shelf life, expired, and slow-moving inventory to reduce product loss is crucial. The role requires ownership of mock recalls and product withdrawals, with the ability to systematically follow identified product lot codes and transactions.
Responsibilities
+ Conduct finished goods and raw material counts.
+ Ensure accuracy of storage locations.
+ Daily reconciliation of inventory and investigate discrepancies.
+ Understand and apply FEFO and FIFO principles.
+ Monitor and identify short shelf life, expired, and slow-moving inventory.
+ Take ownership of mock recalls and product withdrawals.
+ Maintain the cycle count schedule.
+ Identify and investigate inventory discrepancies and perform root cause analysis.
+ Support the team and assist where necessary.
Essential Skills
+ Proficiency in inventory control and cycle counts.
+ Data entry and warehouse inventory management.
+ Experience in shipping and receiving.
+ Material handling and computer skills.
+ Proficiency in Outlook and Excel.
+ Forklift operation (Sitdown and Stand-up).
+ Monthly variance analysis.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Forklift certified or able to obtain certification.
+ Experience with vehicle mounted unit/scanning.
+ Experience with large ERP systems, preferably Oracle.
+ Experience in creating reports from Excel.
+ Strong verbal and written communication skills.
+ Willingness to work overtime and weekends as needed.
+ Fluency in written and verbal English.
+ Ability to consistently lift up to 50 pounds.
+ Minimum of 12 - 18 months of relevant experience.

Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of San Leandro, California.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $21.00/hr.
