Job Title: Inventory Clerk
Job Description

Join our team as an Inventory Clerk, where you will play a crucial role in our warehouse operations by ensuring the accuracy of storage locations through finished goods and raw material counts. You will be responsible for daily reconciliation of inventory and investigating any discrepancies. Your expertise will be key in core warehouse processes, including receiving, picking, shipping, and custom packaging. Understand and implement inventory management strategies like FEFO and FIFO, monitor inventory to reduce product loss, and take ownership of mock recalls and product withdrawals. Maintain the cycle count schedule and prioritize issues causing inventory discrepancies.

ResponsibilitiesConduct counts of finished goods and raw materials to ensure storage location accuracy.Perform daily reconciliation of inventory and investigate discrepancies.Engage in core warehouse processes such as receiving, picking, shipping, and custom packaging.Implement FEFO and FIFO inventory strategies.Monitor inventory for short shelf life, expired, and slow-moving items to reduce product loss.Take ownership of mock recalls and product withdrawals, following product lot codes and transactions.Maintain and prioritize the cycle count schedule for lot/item/location integrity.Identify and investigate inventory discrepancies, performing root cause analysis.Essential SkillsInventory control and cycle counting expertise.Proficient in data entry and warehouse inventory management.Experience in shipping and receiving, material handling.Strong computer skills including Outlook and Excel.Forklift certification or ability to obtain certification.Experience with vehicle mounted units/scanning.Familiarity with large ERP systems, preferably Oracle.Ability to consistently lift up to 50 pounds.12 - 18 months of relevant experience.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience in creating reports using Excel.Strong verbal and written communication skills.Willingness to work overtime and weekends as needed.Fluency in written and verbal English.Why Work Here?

Work Environment

Work in a room temperature environment, collaborating closely with the inventory manager in an office setting. The role may require flexibility in supporting the team as needed.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of San Leandro, California.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $21.00/hr.
