Essential Functions:
1. Conduct physical inventory counts using handheld devices, by tag section and category
2. Verify merchandise and store assets including cash, lottery, money orders, and deposits
3. Identify and pull out-of-code merchandise, price discrepancies, or inventory errors
4. Review audit results and discrepancies with Store Management, District Managers and Audit Supervisor
5. Perform compliance surveys per operational and financial procedures
6. Ensure safe work practices per company rules and regulations
7. Communicate professionally with store personnel and audit team
8. Work independently in a fast-paced environment, completing multi-task assignments
9. Complete and submit all audit documentation accurately and timely
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED preferred
Minimum of 1 year inventory auditing or retail experience in a convenience store environment
Valid driver’s license with clean driving record and current liability insurance
Proficient with handheld scanning technology and strong computer skills, especially in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and inventory management systems such as PDI.
Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and communication skills
Ability to work early morning shifts and flexible hours
Physical Requirements:
Regularly sit, stand, walk, bend, reach, and use hands for counting and data entry
Frequently required to be on knees, crouching, or squatting to scan low shelves or product areas
Regularly climb ladders or step stools going up and down repeatedly during audits
Occasionally lift up to 25 lbs
Frequent travel required; occasional overnight travel may be necessary
Work in varying environmental conditions (walk-in coolers/freezers, outdoor storage, warehouse spaces)
Work Environment:
Moderate noise level typical of retail environments
Regular travel to store locations within assigned region
Indoor/outdoor work environments
Compensation:
Hourly Rate: $19.00 – $21.00+ (based on experience and qualifications)
Eligible for mileage reimbursement and paid travel time
