**Job Description**
Assumes responsibility for the provision of supplies/equipment. This includes the organization of the supplies/equipment areas, cleaning, stocking of supplies, labeling shelves, cabinets, bins and closets
**Qualifications**
+ Associate Degree or 2 years of experience **(2yr degree** **or** **2yrs exp.)**
**Responsibilities**
1. Plans and organizes the supplies/equipment areas according to established Patient Care Unit guidelines, such as compliance with established uniformity of stocking the unit whenever possible, Planning includes problems of priorities, procedures and needs.
2. Assigns, directs and supervises non-managerial Materials Management staff which includes, general stores/receiving and transport/messenger staff, transporter/messengers, attendants, etc.
3. Reviews and analyzes the supplies/equipment level, existing practices and procedures with the unit clinical care coordinator
4. Meets regularly with the clinical care coordinator for input regarding supply issues
5. Provides appropriate documentation to the clinical care coordinator regarding daily supply orders
6. Maintains adequate inventory level of medical surgical supplies and equipment on assigned units, and completes related paperwork
7. Provides for return of supplies/equipment and prepares appropriate paperwork for credits or exchange
8. Inputs inventory data and/or stores/receiving PAR and no-par requisitions by using the computer
9. Ensures proper functioning of emergency equipment, such as EKG machine, suction machine and code cart inspection, to be performed daily
10. Stocks and maintains appropriate supplies in the treatment room
11. Ensures that dirty equipment is picked up and the trapezes are returned to Stat Stores daily
12. Recommends and is responsible for implementation of changes within the assigned units supply system, and recommends purchase of Capital Expendable Equipment
13. Repairs and/or performs maintenance work on medical equipment, and prepares weekly stock out reports for assigned units if necessary
14. Rotates within the Materials Management Department to other assignments if necessary
15. Responsible for pick-up and delivery of supplies/equipment at all times to assigned units
16. May be required to install trapeze when requested

**Compensation Statement**
Mount Sinai Health System (MSHS) provides a salary range to comply with the New York City Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $28.8765 - $28.8765 Hourly. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
