As an Inventory Accountant, you will be part of the finance department supporting the inventory management team. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication abilities which will align successfully in the organization. **Job Title:** Inventory Accountant **Location:** Oak Brook, IL 60523 **Base Salary:** $60-90K **Job Function:** + Assist in the inventory accounting process, ensuring accurate valuation of inventory and management of costing methodologies in accordance with GAAP. + Ensure inventory transactions are properly recorded in both Oracle and IBS (AS400) systems, ensuring accuracy and completeness. + Support the reconciliation of inventory accounts during month-end close, ensuring proper documentation and analysis of any discrepancies. + Collaborate closely with supply chain and operations teams to ensure accurate inventory data tracking and reporting. + Continuously assess and improve inventory accounting processes, identifying opportunities for greater efficiency and accuracy. **Required Qualifications:** + Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. (Required) + 2-4 years of accounting experience, preferably focused on inventory management and cost accounting. + Basic understanding of inventory accounting methods (FIFO, LIFO, weighted average) and costing methods in line with GAAP. + Experience working with financial systems, particularly Oracle GL and IBS (AS400). + Strong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally with various teams.
