You will join the Data & Digital Technologies Division within the Geospatial Department, which brings together expertise in GIS, Topography, and Remote Sensing. We develop tools on our geospatial cloud platform, carry out studies and operations for all TotalEnergies business units, and support several R&D topics.

Your role will be to understand GEOAI application themes and apply them to a concrete use case.

Activities

As a GeoAI Engineering intern, you will join the Remote Sensing team and contribute to the development of artificial intelligence applied to the geospatial domain.
Your missions will include technology monitoring, experimenting with AI models, and applying them to concrete use cases.

1. GeoAI MonitoringConduct general monitoring of advances in GeoAI.Follow technologies related to image segmentation, object detection, and change detection.Track developments in Remote Sensing and Geospatial Foundation Models (GeoFMs).


2. Use Case 1: Image Segmentation for Land Use / Land Cover (LULC)Select and test pre‑trained models for LULC classification.Propose model improvements.Assess model performance on diverse image datasets with varying resolutions.


3. Use Case 2: Change Detection Based on LULCDevelop a use case focused on tracking land cover changes.Potentially contribute to a dedicated use case: deforestation monitoring.


4. Other Use Cases: Detection of Objects of InterestLeverage LULC knowledge to further enhance deforestation monitoring.Implement the detection of objects of interest across all sites where TotalEnergies operates.Use the following technologies


You will evolve within a team of experienced professionals and with a tutor-coach, the reference for your future profession. Individualized support will help you develop your autonomy and lead you to your diploma !

Candidate Profile

Currently enrolled in an engineering school or a Master’s program in Data Science / AI, you are looking for a 6‑month end-of-studies internship starting in April 2026 ?


You specialize in AI / Data Sciences and possess skills in geospatial technologies. Ideally, you have strong experience in image analysis as well as Python development.

GIS tools such as QGIS or Google Earth Engine hold no secrets for you, and you also have a solid understanding of AI frameworks like PyTorch or TensorFlow.

Curiosity, open‑mindedness, adaptability, and strong interpersonal skills are key qualities that define you and enable you to work effectively within a team.

A professional command of English is essential to succeed in this role.

Your interest in IT and AI/Data-related topics—particularly those linked to image-specific challenges will be a real asset.
