Internship - Business Analyst Assistant

MAIN PURPOSE


The Assistant Business Analyst is responsible for providing the management and internal
teams with business reporting grounded in data that will inform decision making and strategy
setting. Responsibilities include support end-to-end finance operations, financial planning
and analysis, looking to make improvements to procedures and controls, as well as ad-hoc
projects and requests as and when they come up.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES


Business monitoring

Sell-out Data gathering from distributorsUtilizing Power BI to implement Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), graphs, and dashboards
for effective data visualization and analysisConducting market analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and threats


Financial Control

Developing detailed reports by leveraging existing financial tools to provide insightful
analysis and recommendations.Assisting in the documentation and implementation of management processes to improve
business control and efficiency.Developing monthly reports, including closing notes, to track financial performance and
provide actionable insightsPerforming ad hoc studies on various financial aspects such as paymentAnalysis of variances between actual financial performance and budgeted figuresMonitoring sales


Budget and pricing

Co-work with the Finance Manager and Business Analyst from the Regional Office on the
Budget ProcessAssist in the annual Pricing adjustmentEstablishing benchmarks and conducting competitive monitoringAnalyzing competitors' pricing strategies to inform pricing decisions and strategies


PROFILE


Education

Higher education degree from a Business School, University, or equivalent.
Required ExperienceA successful 6-month experience, ideally in a similar role, would be highly appreciated.


Language abilities

Fluent in English (spoken & written), French is appreciatedDemonstrates professional verbal and written communication skills


Technical Skills / Abilities

Excellent computer skills with a proficiency in Excel – Advanced knowledge of MS Office,Experienced working with ERP, Item Management Systems, and Online Database (BI)Proficiency in reporting and Business Intelligence (BI) projects, with a strong emphasis on Power BIExpertise in DAX (Data Analysis Expressions) and Power Query is mandatory.You show initiative, have a comfort with numbers, and a strong interest in business
