Job Description:
The international tax supervisor will work in the tax department supporting the international tax managers on corporate taxation matters concerning UPS entities in Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA). Additionally, there will be opportunities to work on other indirect taxes and issues involving transfer pricing matters.
The key responsibilities will require the ideal candidate to:
Oversee or support tax compliance processes in multiple jurisdictions, ensuring timely and accurate filings
Review corporate tax returns, transfer pricing documentation, CbCR and other statutory submissions prepared by local teams or external advisors
Interact with tax authorities with respect to rulings, audits and settlements
Assist the Tax Managers on projects and special requests
Monitor international tax developments, including BEPS, ATAD, Pillar Two and OECD initiatives and assess their impact on the group
Work closely with Finance, Legal, Treasury, HR and other functions to provide proactive tax support
Maximize opportunities while minimizing tax risks and surprises
What you'll need
Fluent English (verbal and written) plus any other languages of the EMEA region is an advantage
Qualified with a minimum of 3 years’ experience in a leading local practice, big four firm, or large international corporate environment
Strong analytical and pragmatic thinking skills
Experienced in dealing with transfer pricing, permanent establishment, withholding taxes, tax treaties etc. on an international tax level
Confidence/experience in dealing with issues in different countries
Reporting to the International Tax Manager
Limited travel required on an ad-hoc basis
