Job Description An employer in the logistics industry is seeking a full time International Import Agent to join the team and work onsite in their LAX location. This person will be responsible for ensuring that clients' shipments are transported safely and without incident. They work with third-party companies to help pay for the items the customer's order. They also look after the cargo personally during its arrival, stay and departure from the airport. This includes tasks such as controlling the weight and balance of cargo on the aircraft by checking the load sheet to ensure flight safety. Skills and Requirements 2+ Years experience as a International Import Agent Attention to detail, deadline-oriented, dependable, persistence, time management, independent, documentation skills, scheduling and reporting skills Track and Trace cargo to ensure proper movement and delivery Communicate with clients regarding disposition of Freight Seek more profitable mode of shipment yet meet client's requirement for the movement of freight Candidates must be self-motivated, customer service oriented, and eager to ensure the success of the team
