International Accounting Manager

Aston Carter is working with a well-known company in the Kansas City area who is looking to bring on an Accounting Manager to help them on an open-ended, contract basis (most likely for the next 6 - 12 months). They are needing someone who has strong international accounting experience and has worked for a $1 billion+ revenue size company. There is potential this role will be extended later on depending on how the project goes. Responsibilities

Drive efficiencies with innovative solutions through automation and process improvement initiatives.Analyze data, identify problem areas, and design, lead, and manage projects to facilitate work efficiencies.Effectively partner with cross-functional teams to support business initiatives, drive process improvements, and implement best practices.Supervise the work of Accounting staff, ensuring high-quality performance, timely delivery, and adherence to accounting policies and procedures.Prepare and review journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, variance analyses, and disclosure schedules in accordance with accounting policies (both US GAAP and IFRS).Ensure appropriate controls are in place within the accounting responsibility area.Support quarter-end review and year-end financial audit processes, resolving any issues promptly.

Essential Skills

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required7-12 years of experience in large public companies requiredInternational accounting experience required.Experience in public accounting preferred.Proficiency in US GAAP and IFRS.Experience in preparing and reviewing financial statements.CPA certification preferred.Experience with SAP, Oracle, and Power BI.Experience with month-end processes and GAAP.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $60.00 - $80.00/hr.
