Aston Carter is working with a well-known company in the Kansas City area who is looking to bring on an Accounting Manager to help them on an open-ended, contract basis (most likely for the next 6 - 12 months). They are needing someone who has strong international accounting experience and has worked for a $1 billion+ revenue size company. There is potential this role will be extended later on depending on how the project goes. Responsibilities + Drive efficiencies with innovative solutions through automation and process improvement initiatives. + Analyze data, identify problem areas, and design, lead, and manage projects to facilitate work efficiencies. + Effectively partner with cross-functional teams to support business initiatives, drive process improvements, and implement best practices. + Supervise the work of Accounting staff, ensuring high-quality performance, timely delivery, and adherence to accounting policies and procedures. + Prepare and review journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, variance analyses, and disclosure schedules in accordance with accounting policies (both US GAAP and IFRS). + Ensure appropriate controls are in place within the accounting responsibility area. + Support quarter-end review and year-end financial audit processes, resolving any issues promptly. Essential Skills + Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required + 7-12 years of experience in large public companies required + International accounting experience required. + Experience in public accounting preferred. + Proficiency in US GAAP and IFRS. + Experience in preparing and reviewing financial statements. + CPA certification preferred. + Experience with SAP, Oracle, and Power BI. + Experience with month-end processes and GAAP.
