The role: 

The Internal Partnership Lead plays a crucial role in supporting the Internal Partnerships team within Meridian’s Marketing department. This position is responsible for liaising with business partners to capture marketing objectives, evaluating their alignment with organizational goals, and briefing them into the appropriate marketing teams. The Marketing Strategist will work closely with the Senior Manager, Internal Partners Marketing, to ensure effective communication and collaboration between the Line of Business (LOB) teams and Marketing.

What You’ll Do:

Line of Business Success:

Assist in translating revenue targets and Business goals into measurable Marketing goals (i.e. number of Mbrs onboarded to hit goal) Act as a liaison between LOB, Corporate, senior/executive leadership, and Marketing teams, facilitating communication and collaboration on objectives, plans, timelines, in-market dates, approvals, and debriefs. Help secure approvals from the Business on rate promotions and activations across Front Line networks. Create briefs for the Marketing team on Business requirements, ensuring necessary details are included. Report on marketing results to the Business and facilitate post-campaign evaluations. Participate in quarterly business review and planning meetings to share accomplishments, goal achievement, and lessons learned. Manage the intake process for collateral requests from the Business, brief requirements to the Creative team, and communicate deliverables and timelines back to the Business. Lead the team who will build marketing collateral for the Marketing Shop and front-line staff, ensuring appropriate creative integrity and brand adherence.

Marketing Program Oversight:

Gather inputs from across the Marketing team to create proposals for key Marketing programs, building the case for how an initiative will drive the goals of the Business and securing buy-in. Brief objectives to the Marketing teams, document work plans, and stand up cross-functional working teams to accomplish the objectives. Report on results during and after project completion, document lessons learned, and ensure they are incorporated moving forward.

Continuous Improvement:

Be constantly looking for ways to make the process more efficient and help the Business on the path to producing their own collateral. Communicate pain points from the Business and help solution them within the circle of influence. Recommend A/B tests and new technologies to improve marketing efficiencies and processes.

What You Bring:

Strong understanding of marketing principles and practices. Excellent negotiation and communication skills. Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously. Marketing goal setting and budgeting. Marketing performance reporting. Strategic thinking and planning. Negotiation and conflict resolution. Excellent written and verbal communication, and presentation skills. Analytical and problem-solving, a self-starter constantly looking for ways to improve.

Salary Range: CAD $59,800 – $89,800 annually

Compensation for this role is based on a combination of skills, experience, and internal equity. Candidates with stronger alignment to the role’s requirements may be placed higher within the range. Your recruiter will share more information about our total rewards package during the hiring process.

Office Location:  Our St. Catharines corporate office with the ability to travel to our Toronto office as needed. This is a hybrid work opportunity.

Meridian has a remote work policy that allows flexibility for employees to work remotely but also requires a minimum of one day per week in the office for purposeful meetings to collaborate, innovate and build effective relationships with your team, your colleagues and your leader which is important to us.
