Grant funded opportunity for an undergraduate college student to have part time (19 hours or under) practical work experience in one of more departments at one of our Advocate Health hospitals in the southside of Chicago.

Must be currently enrolled at a regional accredited college or university and in the process of obtaining an undergraduate degree.

Must be able to commute to one of the assignment locations below

Assignment locations:

May be assigned at one of the following Chicago hospitals: Advocate Trinity Hospital, Advocate South Suburban or Advocate Christ Medical Center.

Major Responsibilities:

Responsibilities are assigned based on area of concentration (Some past examples are Communications, Finance, Labs, Marketing, Pharmacy and many more).

Receives exposure to various aspects of health care from the view of the area of concentration.

The incumbent is responsible for adhering to established Service Standards.

Education Required:

High School Graduate and enrolled at a college or university, in the process of obtaining an undergraduate degree.

Good communication skills, both written and verbal.

Strong attention to detail.

Demonstrated ability in successfully completing tasks.

Strong teamwork skills.

Effective multitasking and prioritization skills.

Strong computer skills, including proficiency with Excel.

Must demonstrate integrity, maturity, dependability, a positive attitude and enthusiasm.
