Internship Details

Duration: 11 weeks, full-time

Dates of Internship: June 1, 2026 - August 14, 2026

Location: (Remote)

Application Window: January 9 - 16, 2026

Compensation: Paid internship; relocation assistance available for qualified candidates

Eligibility: Preferred candidates are rising juniors and seniors (Dec 2026 through June 2028 graduation) who are currently enrolled in a relevant degree program; however, all current students pursuing related studies are encouraged to apply.

About the Team:

The Precision Medicine organization is a client-facing group that partners with biopharmaceutical companies to support drug development and assay development trials across the translational research continuum. The team is composed of three closely aligned departments:

Diagnostic Development Services (DDS)

Specialty Genomics

Translational Biomarker Services (TBS)

These teams work directly with sponsors, advisors, and internal subject-matter experts to design, operationalize, and deliver diagnostic and biomarker strategies that support clinical trials and regulatory pathways. Precision Medicine plays a critical role in connecting scientific, operational, and technology teams to ensure programs are executed efficiently, transparently, and in alignment with client and study needs.

Internship Assignment Summary:  

The Precision Medicine Intern will support cross-functional program and operational initiatives by helping define, organize, and coordinate business needs across multiple client-facing departments. This role is ideal for a highly organized individual who is comfortable working with diverse stakeholders and translating operational needs into structured processes and system requirements.

Key responsibilities include:

Supporting the creation and documentation of operational workflows within business and IT systems such as Workfront, Power BI, and related tools

Assisting with requirements gathering by engaging stakeholders, subject-matter experts, and advisors to understand program needs and dependencies

Facilitating meetings, capturing action items, and providing regular status updates to support initiative execution

Helping drive internal processes forward by improving visibility, alignment, and communication across teams

Managing multiple initiatives simultaneously, without responsibility for software development or coding

This internship provides hands-on exposure to program operations within Precision Medicine and insight into how client-facing scientific teams collaborate with IT and analytics partners to support clinical and assay development programs.

Education/Qualifications/Skills:

Ideal candidates will have:

Enrollment in a bachelor’s degree program (e.g., Informatics, Health Sciences, Business, Data Analytics, or a related field)

Experience contributing to or managing multiple projects in an academic or professional setting

Strong time-management and organizational skills, with the ability to provide clear and consistent progress updates

Ability to work effectively with cross-functional stakeholders and internal/external colleagues

Interest in operational processes, systems, and program coordination within a scientific or healthcare environment

Strong communication skills, including the ability to facilitate meetings and document outcomes

Ability to collaborate, align stakeholders, and embrace diverse perspectives through partnerships and teamwork
