We are collaborative, transparent and committed to our People and their work experience, growth and professional development. **INTERN, TELECOMMUNICATIONS (La Crosse, WI)** _Hourly Wage: $18.00 | Anticipated Start Date: March 30th, 2026_ The Telecommunications Intern will gain hands-on exposure to Dairyland Power Cooperative’s telecommunications systems and infrastructure while assisting with ongoing projects. This role is designed to support students interested in electronics, information technology, or related technical fields. **The Impact You'll Make In This Role:** **ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS** **:** + Work in a team environment to learn about telecommunications and network-related equipment and systems. + Assist with installation, testing, maintenance, and documentation of telecommunications and IT-related projects. + Support technicians and engineers with troubleshooting and basic repair activities under supervision. + Learn and follow safety practices, procedures, and organizational standards. **Your Experience and Expertise:** **MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS** **:** **Education & Experience** : Completion of at least one semester toward a two-year or four-year degree in Electronics, Telecommunications, Information Technology, Networking, Computer Systems, or a related technical field. **Skills** : + Interest in telecommunications, electronics, networking, or IT infrastructure. + Ability to learn and work with a variety of telecommunications, networking, and electronic equipment from multiple manufacturers and vendors. + Basic understanding of electronic or IT concepts (coursework-level knowledge acceptable). + Ability to follow instructions, work collaboratively in a team environment, and communicate effectively. + Ability to differentiate colors **Licenses and Certifications** : Valid Driver’s License. **Physical Demands** : The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
