Join us and get your career moving! **Job Summary** The Intern, Safety Systems is responsible for developing training material and increasing the adoption in existing safety applications. The incumbent examines multiple aspects of workplace safety, continues to learn, and applies strong communication skills to enhance CN’s safety programs. During the internship, the role receives the Manager’s guidance and expertise to ensure successful implementation of projects. Furthermore, the position uses initiative, drive for continuous improvement, and effective communication to ensure that the projects achieve the set objectives. **Major Responsibilities** · Create power point job aids (photo and text) on safety topics · Support the development of videos (TrainTubes) to increase safety knowledge · Create training material for the new Safety Analytics and Field Engagement (SAFE) application (e.g., presentations, job aids and digital job aids) · Assist in coordinating the SAFE application rollout · Participate in training employees on how to use the new SAFE application · Visit yards to promote the use of the near miss and hazard reporting system · Verify that necessary applications are installed and ensure employees know how to use them · Participate in health and safety committee meetings showing them how our safety inspection application works **Requirements** · Experience with Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) · Knowledge of, or interest in, learning about Workplace Safety · Applies analytical thinking · Communicates with impact · Ability to seek opportunities for continuous improvement · Takes initiative · Fluently bilingual, both written and verbal (English, French) · Valid Class 5 Driver’s Licence · The role requires occasional travel (30%) within Canada · Any knowledge of video editing tools* **Education** · Working toward a Bachelor’s Degree in one of the following disciplines: Computer Science, Human Resources, Education, or Safety* *Any experience/education/skills/knowledge for these above would be considered as an asset **About CN** CN is a premium railroad that sustainably generates value for our customers, shareholders, employees, and stakeholders with an unwavering commitment to safety and service.
