The Intern, Automation and Operational Technology will support the Project Leaders on current engineering initiatives/projects. Functions will include participation in the implementation and documentation of operational technology infrastructures. The intern will interpret information and recommend areas of improvement. 

 

The Internship Program will begin on May 11th and end August 14th, 2026.

HOW YOU WILL MAKE CONTRIBUTIONS THAT MATTER...  

Review and validate plant network survey documents 

Participate in the migration of plant computer systems to virtual environments 

Update network documentation and document new systems 

 

YOU ARE BEST SUITED FOR THE ROLE IF YOU... 

Are currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in automated production engineering (you have at least completed the second year); 

Specialization in computer science an asset; 

Are active in extracurricular activities on campus or in the community;  

Have previous related internship experience (an asset); 

Are detail-oriented, analytical, self-motivated and willing to take initiative; 

Are not afraid to get acquainted with your team and business partners, quickly building relationships; 

Good knowledge of Ethernet and industrial networks  

Good computer skills, particularly in virtual systems (VMWare) 

Knowledge of industrial control software (HMI, programming suites, historians, etc.)  

Knowledge of Microsoft Office suite (including Visio) and Autocad  

Bilingual (English/French), both spoken and written – will interact with partners across Canada 

Must be willing to travel across Canada 

Have strong time management and organizational skills: you will manage priorities and multiple projects at a time all while ensuring to meet deadlines.
