The team is also heavily involved in research projects covering various new technologies that will shape the future of aerospace. **During your internship, you will contribute to:** + Help develop and validate various software tools developed with the Advanced Design department + Develop conceptual design tool + Participate in the Multidisciplinary Optimization tools development + Benchmark disciplinary environment with state-of-the-art research + Participate in feasibility and trade studies of new aircraft design software **During your internship, you will learn:** + The importance of multidisciplinary design optimization tools in the design of new products + To use different programming languages and development environments + How to participate in the early phases of the development of new aircraft concepts + To work as a cohesive team with experts from different technical disciplines **What we are looking for:** + You are currently enrolled in a university level aerospace engineering program or equivalent (e.g. mechanical engineering, computer engineering, computer sciences, etc.) + You have completed at least two years of the program + You show a keen interest in aerospace in general and aircraft design in particular + You show a keen interest for software development, with a good knowledge of the Python programming language. Familiarity with dash is an asset; + You are familiar with other programming languages (C/C++, Matlab, Fortran) + You are motivated, curious and independent + You are familiar and comfortable with Microsoft Office ​ _The base salary for this position is expected to range from CAD $17.75 to CAD $31.00 per hour. The applicable base salary will be determined based on various criteria, at Bombardier’s sole discretion, such as the candidate’s skills, experience and qualifications._ **Boarding Information:** + Location: Global 7500/8000 + Duration: 8 months + Flexible workplace-Hybrid _It is important to note that our internship opportunities are open to students only, not new graduates.
