Actalent's client, a large international Engineering firm, is seeking an Intermediate Electrical Drafter/Designer who will support successful project execution by preparing high-quality electrical drawings, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, and contributing technical input to ensure accurate, complete deliverables. This role involves producing design packages for small to large-scale projects, coordinating with engineering and drafting disciplines, and supporting the development of layouts, specifications, and technical documentation.

Key Responsibilities;

Prepare and revise electrical drawings and complete design packages under the guidance of Electrical Engineers.

Coordinate with other engineering disciplines to ensure drawings are accurate, complete, and aligned with project requirements.

Support equipment selection, layout development, and all related electrical design documentation.

Assist in preparing specifications, schedules, and documentation for electrical and control systems.

Participate in project and coordination meetings, providing drafting and design input as needed.

Contribute to improvements in drafting standards, templates, and quality across the Electrical team.

Skills

Diploma in Electrical Engineering Technology.

4+ years of experience in Canadian energy projects.

Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and organizational abilities.

Proficiency with AutoCAD 2D and 3D.

Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Ability to work effectively with both office and field teams in dynamic environments.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Willingness to travel occasionally to facilities.

Additional Qualifications

Experience in oil & gas or process facilities.

Exposure to multidisciplinary engineering environments.

Familiarity with drafting standards and continuous improvement practices.
