Description We are looking for an Intermediate Accountant to join our team in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Responsibilities: • Prepare journal entries, reconcile accounts, and conduct variance analysis • Maintain and update fixed asset records. • Compile, validate, and distribute comprehensive monthly financial reporting packages. • Oversee inventory costing processes from requisition to final sale, ensuring accuracy and resolving discrepancies. • Investigate and address item cost irregularities by identifying root causes and implementing solutions. • Assist in budgeting and forecasting activities • Monitor spending trends and identify inconsistencies in actual versus budgeted expenses. • Support audits and ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards. Requirements • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. • Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounting, including inventory and reconciliations. • Proficiency in journal entries, general ledger management, and account reconciliations. • Strong understanding of GAAP accounting principles and fixed asset accounting. • Experience with month-end closing processes and variance analysis. • Advanced skills in Excel and familiarity with accounting systems (preferably ). • Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. • Ability to work collaboratively across departments and support cross-functional teams.
