We are seeking a skilled Interior Designer to provide a blend of project management, space planning, and design expertise for commercial projects. This role involves assisting with the creation of renderings and construction document sets while understanding local codes, finish selections, BOMA calculations, permitting, and construction administration tasks. You will also interface with customers and provide design leadership.
Responsibilities
+ Manage and coordinate design projects from inception to completion.
+ Conduct space planning and create innovative design solutions for commercial interiors.
+ Develop renderings and detailed construction document sets.
+ Ensure compliance with local codes, manage finish selections, perform BOMA calculations, and oversee permitting and construction administration tasks.
+ Interface with clients, providing exceptional design leadership and guidance.
Essential Skills
+ Proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD.
+ Strong background in interior design and rendering.
+ Experience with design and production support for mission-critical, commercial, and secured projects.
+ Expertise in construction documentation, space planning, and administration.
+ Experience with SketchUp.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Minimum 4-year college degree in Interior Design or Architecture.
+ LEED Certification is a plus.
+ Space planning experience in commercial and/or corporate interiors.
Work Environment
The office is located in downtown Baltimore, with a beautiful water view in Fells Point. The work environment supports a hybrid role, combining remote work with occasional office visits to access resources and attend meetings. The culture and atmosphere are strong, with minimal turnover and opportunities for advancement into Associate or Project Management roles. Employees are required to be in the office one day a week, which can be split into two half-days if necessary.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Baltimore, MD.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $31.25 - $45.67/hr.
