The Design Director is a leadership role responsible for the overall visual
aesthetics and functional design of a company's products or services. This
position demands a highly creative and strategic professional who can guide
a team of designers, interface with senior management, and align design
initiatives with broader company goals. As the spearhead of design
operations, the Design Director ensures consistency in branding and
messaging across all platforms and projects.

Job Description

Design Project Director Responsibilities & DutiesDevelop and implement the overall design strategy in line with company goalsOversee the creative process from concept to final execution on multiple projectsEnsure consistency and quality of design across all marketing and branding materialsCollaborate with product managers, marketing teams, and other stakeholders to ensure cohesive product and brand visionStay up-to-date with industry trends and incorporate relevant innovations into design practicesDevelop and maintain design budgets and timelinesPresent design concepts and strategies to senior management and clientsEvaluate and select design tools and softwareConduct performance reviews and provide constructive feedback to design team membersDesign Director Qualifications & SkillsExperience in a senior design role within a similar industryAdvanced degree in Design, Fine Arts, or a related fieldProficiency in design software such as Adobe Creative Suite, Sketch, and InDesign, ACAD and/or REVIT softwareStrong portfolio showcasing successful design projectsStrong understanding of branding and marketing principlesExcellent communication and presentation skillsAbility to manage multiple projects simultaneouslyTrack record of successful project delivery on time and within budgetBachelor's degree in Interior Design, Fine Arts, or related fieldMinimum of 8-10 years experience in a design leadership roleStrong project management skillsExceptional creativity and innovationExcellent organizational skills and attention to detailAbility to work under pressure and meet tight deadlinesStrong interpersonal and communication skillsProven ability to collaborate with various departmentsKnowledge of the latest design trends and technologies

The compensation that will be offered to the successful candidate will depend on factors such as whether the position is covered by a collective bargaining agreement, the geographic area in which the work will be performed, market pay rates in that area, and the candidate’s experience and qualifications.


The company will not pay less than minimum wage for this role.


The compensation for the position is: $167,960.00 - $197,600.00
