Our client, a manufacturing client in south Houston, TX, is seeking an experienced Interim Plant Controller. This is a full-time onsite consulting role with an immediate start and an expected duration of 3 months. The consultant will provide critical accounting coverage during a business transition, supporting monthly and quarterly financial reporting, cost accounting, audit preparation, and special financial analyses. **Job Title: Interim Plant Controller** **Location:** onsite in south Houston, TX **Pay Rate:** $50–$58/hour **What’s the Job?** + Lead the monthly close process, including journal entry preparation, inventory reconciliation, and cost variance analysis. + Ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP, SOX, and internal controls, including oversight of WIP inventory, shipping/receiving, and physical inventory procedures. + Manage cost accounting activities such as Purchase Price Variance (PPV), BOM reconciliation, and analysis of material manufacturing variances. + Oversee fixed asset accounting and support capital budgeting, including asset capitalization, disposals, and financial analysis for plant investments. + Serve as the primary accounting contact onsite, providing audit support and communicating financial and operational results to stakeholders. **What’s Needed?** + 5+ years' accounting experience in a manufacturing environment including strong proficiency in standard costing and cost accounting using SAP. + Solid understanding of Bill of Materials (BOM) management and inventory controls. + Proven ability to manage month-end close, prepare accruals, and support audits. + Familiarity with capital budgeting and asset capitalization criteria. + Preferred Titles/ Backgrounds:Candidates with backgrounds such as Plant Controller, Assistant Controller, or Senior Accountant are encouraged to apply, provided they meet the experience and skill requirements. **What’s in it for me?** - Optional Medical, Dental, Vision, 401k. - Weekly pay with direct deposit. - Consultant Care Support. - Free Training to upgrade your skills. - Dedicated Career Partner to help you achieve your career goals.
