Job Title: Interim Finance ManagerJob Description

The Interim Finance Manager will bring extensive government accounting experience to the role. This position requires active engagement in the month-end close process and strong support for fund accounting, whether in a government or non-profit setting.

ResponsibilitiesProvide hands-on involvement and support for the month-end close process using modified accruals.Support all aspects of fund accounting for government or non-profit entities.Prepare journal entries for the month-end close of three entities: Library ($400k), Township ($14M), and Municipal Authority ($7M).Manage Accounts Payable for approximately 70 vendors.Oversee Accounts Receivable processes.Support payroll operations for approximately 50 employees.Operate effectively within Caselle ERP and Microsoft Excel.Essential Skills4+ years of experience with hands-on involvement in month-end close and fund accounting in a government or non-profit setting, handling a minimum of three entities.4+ years of experience with modified accruals and journal entries.4+ years of experience managing accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll support.4+ years of experience with an accounting ERP system.Proficiency in creating pivot tables, vlookups, and formulas within Microsoft Excel.Work Environment

The role requires working onsite for 5 days a week, with business hours from 8am-5pm. The Interim Finance Manager will report to the Township Manager, who has a background in finance, and will work collaboratively with a team of two full-time staff members specializing in Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable, as well as a part-time team member. The role is mission-driven, with a focus on public service, and offers transparent, stable, and well-planned finances. There is also a potential for extension or conversion, although this is not guaranteed. The location offers access to the Main Line/Philly area and a predictable work rhythm with community interaction.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $40.00/hr.
