Description Project Kuiper is Amazon’s low Earth orbit satellite broadband network. In this role, work with a team of engineers responsible for designing standardized test equipment used on the shop floor that can be built at scale as per the factory demands for contract manufacturing as well as Kuiper factory locations, optimizing provisioning and testing time by partnering with design engineering and software teams, partner with CM site representatives and provide recommendation for design for manufacturing. In this role you will work across the org with many software and hardware teams identifying requirements, prioritizing critical efforts and providing updates to senior management and stakeholders. Key job responsibilities - Design, implement and maintain test fixtures to verify software on embedded hardware, create and maintain documentation - Troubleshoot hardware, software and networking issues - Integration and test plans development closely working with systems engineering, software engineering, hardware engineering and RF integration teams - Contribute to engineering efforts from design to implementation, solving complex technical challenges around production productivity and velocity - Drive adoption of best practices in test hardware and software maintainability - Contribute to standardization and process improvement activities. Basic Qualifications - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or comparable industry experience - 2+ years of non-internship professional experience in IT and automated test equipment (ATE) support - 2+ years experience in project management skills including resource planning, managing schedules, reporting project status and prioritizing own tasks and those of other team members for multiple projects. - Experience with embedded system test rack configuration, integration and optimization - Knowledge of hardware/software integration and validation processes - Highly organized and autonomous, very detail oriented and willing to learn new skills Preferred Qualifications - Working knowledge of Linux and Windows operating system - Proven track record of implementing process improvements in manufacturing environments - Experience in communicating with users, other technical teams, and management to collect requirements, evaluate alternatives and develop processes and tools as needed to support the organization - Experience working with contract manufacturers (CMs) - Experience programming with at least one modern language such as Python, RUST, Golang, JAVA - Experience with embedded software deployment and provisioning processes - Experience troubleshooting and debugging technical systems - Experience driving technical standardization across diverse systems Amazon is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of protected veteran status, disability, or other legally protected status. The base pay for this position ranges from $116,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $201,200/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
