INTELLIGENCE OPERATIONS SPECIALIST
Summary The DCSA Counterintelligence (CI) and Insider Threat Directorate Cyber Mission Center's Cyber Engagement Branch is seeking a GG-0132-13 Cyber Threat Analyst. Responsibilities As an INTELLIGENCE OPERATIONS SPECIALIST you will be responsible for the following duties: Conducts Cyber CI analysis activities within DCSA and coordinates those activities with DoD and national-level Agencies. Utilizes classified and unclassified databases, software applications, and other intelligence research tools to identify and assess FIE capabilities to penetrate and exploit US networks and communications infrastructures. Performs analytical support to on-going and completed cyber/information operations, identifies vulnerability to foreign intelligence and security services activity and makes recommendations for improvements and changes. Provides analytic support to leadership related to cyber threat issues. Applies analytic tradecraft and standards applicable to CI cyber threat analysis. Have competency and capacity to make continuing contributions to advancing the knowledge and understanding of the threat and the analytic process within the CI community. Conducts comprehensive analysis of cyber incidents caused by specific intrusion sets using a suite of analytic tools. Identify, assess and evaluate cyber adversary capabilities and intentions, methodologies, methods and motives of those who may conduct CNE (computer network exploitation) and CNA (computer network attacks) against designated systems and information. Qualifying experience may have been acquired in any public or private sector job, but will clearly demonstrate past experience in the application of the particular competencies/knowledge, skills and abilities necessary to successfully perform the duties of the position. You must have specialized experience sufficient to demonstrate that you have acquired all the competencies necessary to perform at a level equivalent in difficulty, responsibility, and complexity to the next lower grade GG/GS 12 in the Federal service and are prepared to take on greater responsibility. Generally, this would include one year or more of such specialized experience. Specialized experience for this position includes: Conducts Cyber CI analysis activities and coordinates those activities with other national-level Agencies; performs analytical support to on-going and completed cyber/information operations, identifies vulnerabilities to foreign intelligence and security services activity; provides analytic support to leadership related to cyber threat issues; conducts comprehensive analysis of cyber incidents caused by specific intrusion sets using a suite of analytic tools; showcases information sharing and threat awareness; conducts in-depth research, compilation, and analysis of a wide range of complex and sensitive information. Specifically you will be evaluated on the following competencies: 1.
