Integrated Product Team (IPT) Leader - C-32, C-40 ESS

Boeing Defense Space and Security (BDS) is currently looking to hire a C-32/C-40 Engineering Support Services (ESS) Integrated Product Team (IPT) Leader (Level K) to join the Executive Transport and Surveillance (ET&S) team in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, which provides engineering and logistics support services for the C-32A & C-40B/C executive commercial derivative aircraft fleet. 

This position will report to the C-32/C-40 Senior Program Manager in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma to ensure an integrated programmatic approach to execution of our ESS contract.  We are seeking a multifaceted individual with a collaborative mindset and strategic vision to model the culture of BDS, while being deeply committed to our Air Force C-32A & C-40B/C customer.

In this role you will be responsible for establishing and leading a collaborative multi-disciplined functional team to ensure successful execution of our ESS activities for our Air Force customer.  The C-32/C-40 ESS IPT is accountable to the C-32/C-40 Senior Program Manager and is composed of members from the relevant functional disciplines including, but not limited to, Engineering, Finance, Contracts, Supplier Management, and Product Support, which are necessary to provide the mix of recurring and non-recurring engineering services provided under the ESS contract.  In addition to the C-32/C-40 responsibilities, this role will help lead overall execution of the ESS contract, which includes some additional 747 executive commercial derivative platforms.  In this role you will have assigned authority and allocate appropriate budget to lead these activities.

Position Responsibilities:

Utilize Program Management Best Practices (PMBP) to help develop ESS execution strategies effectively, efficiently, with technical surety, and the highest quality achievable in order to maintain a high customer trust environmentDiscover new opportunities and solutions for problems and/or processes by looking beyond current practices and using innovative thinking to improve performance and synergy across the recurring and non-recurring ESS activities along with the Contractor Logistics Support (CLS) contractIdentification and management of Risks, Issues, and Opportunities (RIO) related to recurring and non-recurring engineering activity under the ESS contractDevelop and maintain relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, and peersEnsure proper coordination, tracking, and status are provided for preparation and on-time delivery of all official Boeing responses and deliverables for Engineering Tasks (ETs), Engineering Projects (EPs), and Engineering Assignments (EAs)Lead the management of both recurring and non-recurring engineering budgets including approval authority of all submitted non-recurring engineering project requests to the customerLead the monthly non-recurring engineering project status meeting with the customer including preparation and approval of all data being presented to ensure accurate on-time data is being submittedLead the quarterly ESS Engineering Contract Review (ECR) with our Air Force customers at the overall ESS level including preparation and approval of all data being presented to ensure accurate on-time data is being submitted

This position is expected to be 100% onsite.  The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

5+ years of experience in roles which required strong interpersonal and communication skillsThe ability to confidently perform and communicate across multiple engineering, logistics, and product support functions/roles5+ years of experience working with military commercial derivative aircraft5+ years of experience leading projects and/or teams5+ years of experience managing multiple projects simultaneously, prioritizing tasks, and meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment5+ years of experience with the RIO (Risks, Issues and Opportunities) processes and toolsExperience analyzing and applying metrics to enable key business decisions and process improvement

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

Bachelor’s Degree or higherExperience with 737, 747 and/or 757 military commercial derivative aircraftExperience navigating the Enterprise Standard Gated Process (EGSP)Experience working directly with customers, with a focus on military customersUnderstanding and application of RIO management along with use of the Boeing Opportunity Risk and Issue System (BORIS) toolExperience working with support functions such as Engineering, Supplier Management, Finance, Integrated Scheduling, and ContractsStrong presentation skills and the ability to effectively communicate data in senior leadership briefingsBasic Earned Value Management (EVM) training and awarenessProficient in use of Microsoft Office products and other Boeing tools including Interactive Reporting Environment (IRE), Configuration Management Professional (CMPRO), Multiple Applications for Technical Resource and Information Xchange (MATRIX), Common Automated Procurement Request System (CAPRS), and Customer and Supplier Data Transmittal (CSDT)

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

Summary pay range for $126,650 - $171,350
