Job Title
Integrated Planning Operations Optimization PlannerPosition Overview
The Integrated Planning Operations Optimization Planner is responsible for enabling end‑to‑end planning excellence across fibers, yarn, extrusion, finished goods, and hard/soft surface supply chains. This role merges OMP Master Planning, Inventory Optimization, and Analytics, ensuring that supply plans, capacity models, data systems, and inventory strategies work together to deliver world‑class service, optimized cost, and improved planning precision.
The Analyst serves as a cross-functional integrator—connecting Planning, Sourcing, Logistics, Manufacturing, Data & Analytics, Customer Care, and Planning Technology teams to drive improved alignment, visibility, and decision-making across the enterprise.
This role is ideal for an analytically strong planning professional who thrives in complex environments and enjoys solving problems that span multiple value streams.
Responsibilities:
Integrated Supply & Inventory Planning
Optimization of the OMP advanced planning tool for Fibers and carpet’s long-range, integrated supply plans
Ensure processes are maintaining a time‑phased inventory and capacity plans to balance customer service expectations (OTIF, fill rate) with operational constraints.
Evaluate supply, capacity, and inventory scenarios to ensure systems are clearly identifying and predicting bottlenecks and propose corrective actions.
Optimization & Analytics
Serve as the subject matter expert for Integrated Planning analytics, providing insights that improve forecast accuracy, inventory health, and supply plan execution.
Partner with data analysts and IT Planning teams to develop dashboards, KPIs, and automated reports to support daily and strategic planning activities.
Mine, prepare, and analyze structured and unstructured datasets to influence business decisions that impact manufacturing and inventory costs
Partner with data analysts to build complex SQL or analytical models to enhance visibility into production, run strategies, constraints, and inventory trends.
Cross-Functional Integration
Partner with Fiber/Yarn Manufacturing, Hard Surface Planning, Customer Care, Sales, Sourcing, and Logistics to align production, inventory, and demand plans.
Serve as a connector between operational planning and enterprise strategic planning (IBP/S\&OP).
Facilitate decision-making by translating complex data into simple, actionable insights for stakeholders.
Process Improvement & Standard Work
Identify process gaps across extrusion, twisting/heatset, carpet manufacturing, and planning systems; develop and implement solutions.
Lead or support parameter governance for OMP (e.g., lead times, MOQ logic, min/max, safety stock, yarn conversion assumptions).
Operational Support
Monitor fiber, yarn, and finished goods inventories—including kanban logic—and drive continuous improvements in target levels and replenishment processes.
Provide daily visibility tools to support production scheduling, network health, service performance, and bottleneck identification.
Qualifications:
Required
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Business, Analytics, or related field.
5-10 years of experience in Supply Chain, Planning, Manufacturing, or Data/Analytics roles.
Experience with OMP, HSRP, or similar planning tools.
Proven experience using analytics to solve business problems and support decision-making.
Preferred
Experience in fiber/yarn, extrusion, or carpet planning.
APICS/ASCM (CPIM/CSCP) certification.
Experience in time-series forecasting or advanced statistical modeling
Success in this Role:
