Position Summary

Thales has a vacancy for an Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) Specialist- (GENERALIST) to join our Integrated Logistics Support team, primarily supporting Engineering Changes (EC) for the AJISS contract supporting the Royal Canadian Navy’s Arctic and Offshore Patrol Vessels (AOPV) and Joint Support Ship (JSS) programs. The ILS Specialist will play a pivotal role in defining and implementing system ILS requirements for systems undergoing ECs to ensure continued system supportability. This position requires a broad and in-depth understanding of all ILS disciplines, with the ability to identify and coordinate necessary updates to existing ILS documentation, manage subcontractor ILS deliverables, and, where needed, perform hands-on ILS tasks directly. The successful candidate will also lead technical logistics support analyses and contribute to work package planning, scope and resource management, budgeting, risk mitigation, progress tracking, and stakeholder communications to facilitate successful and timely program delivery. Reporting to the LSA Manager, this role works closely with other Work Package Managers and cross-functional teams.

Key Areas of Responsibility

Lead development and definition of system ILS requirements within engineering changes, ensuring all logistics support needs are addressed.  Identify and coordinate updates to existing ILS documents affected by ECs.Attend and support Equipment Design Reviews and Technical Interchange Meetings as required. Collect and analyze Reliability, Availability, and Maintainability (RAM) data to support maintenance planning and sparing analysis.Review subcontractor documentation to identify and document maintenance and support requirements.  Perform and support reliability analyses including Reliability Block Diagrams (RBDs). Collect and coordinate technical data for Product and Logistic Support Analysis (LSA), including Functional Failures, Failure Modes, Effects and Criticality Analysis (FMECA), Level of Repair Analysis (LORA), Maintenance Task Analysis, Sparing Analysis, and Provisioning Documentation.Prepare and deliver Maintenance Plans, Preventive Maintenance Schedules, and Instructions.  Support the development and review of User Manuals and Training Materials. Assist in the preparation of technical proposals and support Life Cycle program plans.Support scope management activities by defining and controlling work package deliverables, evaluating client requests, and ensuring adherence to the Statement of Work (SOW). Assist in planning and scheduling efforts; coordinate timelines with project managers and other Work Package Managers (WPMs).Assist in identifying and managing personnel, equipment, and materials required for work packages. Support budget monitoring and cost control activities; assist in financial and progress reporting. Identify and support the mitigation of risks associated with work packages; escalate issues as required.

Minimum Qualifications

Degree/diploma in Engineering or Technology, or equivalent military/industry background in logistics support.Minimum 10 years of experience in Logistic Support Analysis and sustainment management, ideally on DND, RCN, or CCG programs, or in naval/marine/shipbuilding environments.Advanced expertise in logistics and reliability analysis methods (LSA, MTA, RAM, FMECA, LORA).Proficiency with LSA and supportability tools such as OmegaPS LSAR Database, Windchill Risk and Reliability, MIL-HDBK-217, WQS Prediction, WQS OpSim, WQS FTA Lite, and FMEA.Above average proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.

Preferred Qualifications

Bilingual proficiency (English and French) considered an asset.Certification in Reliability, Maintainability, or Supportability Engineering is an advantage.Experience with maintenance management systems (e.g., Maximo).Experience maintaining LSARs and TDPs for large-scale naval or defence programs.Knowledge of configuration management principles and asset management.Background in supporting operational naval systems and equipment.

Special Position Requirements

Schedule: 40 hours per week.Physical Environment: Hybrid position – which is a mix of working from home and onsite (in office, at customer site or on-board ships alongside in harbour).Travel: Occasional domestic travel maybe required in support of the ships.

The reference Total Target Compensation(TTC) market range for this position, inclusive of annual base salary and the variable compensation target, is between Total Target Cash 90,000.00 - 125,000 CDN Annual.
