Takes an active role in capability building on IL6S work processes and establishes continuous improvement as living culture by permanently challenging the status quo and behaviors of all employees at the plant to deliver conversion productivity targets and support delivery of other functional goals (safety, quality, service); ensures that the capabilities built are maintained and the site continues its drive towards zero losses.
Main responsibilities
• Leads the IL6S program for the site and ensures maintenance of the capabilities and improvement as new end-to-end capabilities are defined.• Instrumental in achieving the plant conversion productivity target and identifying opportunities to close potential gaps. Governs the productivity process in the plant.• Develops an IL6S roadmap / master plan and Hoshin Kanri annually linked to the site CBN and provides assistance for the execution.• Ensures regular gap-analysis to define potential improvements and creates action plans for achieving the desired status; involving all required employees and functions in the change process, including the core team, Line Leaders and Managers.• Owns and governs the site wide Loss analysis and Loss elimination program to achieve business targets.• Supports all pillars to achieve IL6S Zero Loss Journey (ZLJ) target.• Develops and executes the plant GE roadmap.• Builds a close partnership with the Center of Excellence functions and regional/global IL6S network.• Is responsible for site’s progress on IL6S phases and provides coaching to the sister sites IL6S team.• Works with the IL6S Engineers and the core team to build capability and drive loss understanding and loss eradication.• Initiates and supports training and induction programs in the plants by using existing tools from the IL6S toolbox. Conducts various trainings on IL6S topics.• Coaches, mentors and supports the IL6S engineers.• Coaches all pillars for the site and is a key member of another pillar;• Leads VSM, Kaizen, MP, FMEA, Kubetsu Kaizen, etc. workshops.• Maintains the IL6S matrix and ensures IL6S engineering development and advancement on both technical and leadership skills.• Utilizes the Gemba system by spending at least 25% of the time on the shop floor.• Leads and supports benchmarking and sharing best practices.• Conducts recruitment, onboarding, 1 to 1, Mid-year and End-year performance reviews.• Knows and meets all relevant QA and HSE requirements (GMP, HACCP, ISO, Safety, Security, Environment).• Knows the ethical and legal compliance responsibilities of the position; lead ethically and model compliant behavior; ensure employees in area of responsibility understand the compliance responsibilities of their jobs and actively participate in the compliance program.• Performs other tasks and responsibilities required by management, when needed.Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree specializing in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Chemical Engineering or Food Science/Technology;• Min 3 years of manufacturing and process improvement experience• Experience in managing change and complex projects• Fluency in the Hungarian languageRelocation Support Available?
