Join a mission-driven team in the Health Regulation Division of the Minnesota Department of Health (MDH) where your administrative skills will contribute to our commitment to protecting, maintaining, and improving the health of all Minnesotans!
This position exists to implement critical and time sensitive activities for all state and federal complaints and incidents received through intake. This position will receive information through multiple web-based reporting systems, letters, phone calls and email.
Working as an Intake Specialist, you will:
+ Manage and monitor complaints and incident reports.
+ Review for jurisdiction, including verification of license status.
**This position is currently eligible for up to 50% hybrid telework for applicants residing in Minnesota or a bordering state within 50 miles of the work location.**
**Minimum Qualifications**

One (1) year of experience performing administrative and support related tasks and duties. This experience must include:
+ Using computer programs such as Microsoft Office Suite sufficient to perform queries and extract meaningful data.

+ Ability to effectively communicate both orally and in writing.
+ Ability to work independently, exercise judgement in solving problems, and to set priorities.
+ Ability to effectively deal with difficult individuals in an often-stressful environment.
+ Excellent customer service skills and ability to develop and maintain excellent working relationships.
**Preferred Qualifications**
+ Previous experience managing or monitoring complaints and/or incident reports.
