Intake Care AssociatePRIMARY PURPOSE: To enter patient referral data for medical treatment; to enter referrals in an expedited and accurate fashion entering and assigning to a patient care coordinator within 2 hours.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS and RESPONSIBILITIES
Receives emails through multiple shared inboxes and distributes emails to correct departments.Takes inbound calls to schedule new referrals for ancillary services, routing as needed, and provides the client with interim status updates as needed.Ensures new orders are entered timely in accordance to our standard operating protocols.Creates new referrals from inbound calls, emails sent to multiple inboxes, and from an internal portal.Distributes new referrals to colleagues in multiple departments.Prepares accurate end of day reports · Maintains a spreadsheet/logs of referral distribution.Upholds Sedgwick values and supports our mission statement.Serves as a liaison between other departments (DME durable medical equipment /HHS home health services /T&T translation & transportation), Xchanging and other in-house staff.ADDITIONAL FUNCTIONS and RESPONSIBILITIES
Performs other duties as assigned.Supports the organization's quality program(s).Travels as required.QUALIFICATIONS
Education & Licensing
High school diploma or GED required.
Experience
One (1) years of industry experience, healthcare network and patient care scheduling, or similar or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
