Intake Associate - PropertyPRIMARY PURPOSE: To accurately set up claims into the claims management system and provide support to the claims staff.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS and RESPONSIBILITIES
Sets up and enters new claims into the claims management system.Enters claims data into claims management system upon requesting the appropriate information and analyzing the responses.Makes outbound calls to claimant and/or client to obtain new claim details.Finds opportunities to refer claims within the organization.Assigns claims using the tools provided.Supports claims staff by providing accurate information during the claim set up process.Uses multiple platforms to look for adjusters to assign claimsMakes outbound calls and/or texts to adjusters to discuss claim details for assignment. (Using Sedgwick’s texting platform)Ensure all parties have the required information in order to successfully manage a claim, including, loss location, notice of loss (NOL), fee schedule, etc.Works with management to make determination on assignment process and resources used.ADDITIONAL FUNCTIONS and RESPONSIBILITIES
Performs other duties as assigned.Supports the organization's quality program(s).Travels as required.QUALIFICATIONS
Education & Licensing
High school diploma or GED required.
Experience
Two (2) years of clerical or property claims management experience or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
Skills & Knowledge
Fluent in Spanish preferredExcellent oral and written communication skills, including presentation skillsPC literate, including Microsoft Office productsAnalytical and interpretive skillsStrong organizational skillsExcellent interpersonal skillsAbility to create and complete comprehensive, accurate and constructive written reportsAbility to work in a team environmentAbility to meet or exceed Performance CompetenciesWORK ENVIRONMENT
