We are seeking a talented individual to join our Insurer Consulting Team team at Marsh. This role will be based in Toronto. This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office.
As the Insurer Consulting Leader you will play a key role in managing carrier relationships, providing strategic advice, and leading teams to optimize partnerships with to insurance carriers.
We will count on you to:
Maintain and develop upon high-yield, large, high-risk accounts and relationships and a high-volume book of business to maintain and exceed sales targets and expectations and be accountable for the sales performance of a dense industry specialty or large region and ensuing large team of direct reports.
Develop the account expansion strategy for the relevant industry or region and direct market research, event coordination, and resource allocation accordingly.
Determine standards for account prioritization and opportunity prioritization for the team's book of business in accordance with cross-functional leaders' insights and objectives, the internal business strategy, account standing and other external factors.
Control resources and ensure the most strategic account ownership strategy, personally taking on high-risk, high-yield accounts and assigning accounts to advanced sales professionals as appropriate.
Direct and oversee the execution of the marketing strategy for the industry and/or region to best and appropriately position the firm and the solution and product offerings in the market and to enable the desired growth.
Determine objectives for and advise on the development of custom solutions for major accounts and ensures optimal pricing for account scope and yield expectations.
Be accountable for the retention of all personal and team accounts, monitor account relationships to ensure satisfaction, handle escalated issues or high-risk accounts and work to ensure a positive market perception.
Develop the team strategy surrounding target metrics, goals and objectives for the industry or region and oversee performance monitoring processes for sales, retention, and professional performance expectations.
Manage the human capital strategy and conduct performance appraisals, make compensation decisions and oversee resource allocation. Be accountable for talent acquisition, sourcing and recruiting the best talent for the team.
Be viewed as an industry leader, attend, organize and participate in industry events and conferences and belong to relevant professional societies to maintain and expand a broad and powerful professional network.

15+ years experience in the insurance industry, on the broker or carrier side
Strong client management skills
Deep industry knowledge
