Instrumentation Fitter
**$125 per diem for a position located in Cocoa, Florida** **Job Title: Instrumentation Fitter** **Job Description** As an Instrumentation Fitter, you will play a critical role in maintaining and advancing our launch capabilities. You will be tasked with reading and interpreting planning documents, schematics, datasheets/manuals, drawings, blueprints, and engineering sketches, primarily focusing on Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&ID). This role involves adjusting, repairing, or replacing faulty components of ground hardware, test, and integration equipment, fabricating and installing parts and systems used in launch environments, and collaborating with launch engineers to troubleshoot failures and issues derived from launch activities. **Responsibilities** + Read and interpret planning documents, schematics, datasheets/manuals, drawings, blueprints, and engineering sketches. + Adjust, repair, or replace faulty components of ground hardware, test, and integration equipment. + Fabricate and install parts and systems used in launch environments using hand tools, power tools, and test instruments. + Work with various sizes of pipes and valves. + Connect and verify pressure transducers, thermocouples, and other sensors. + Install connectors, connector pins, terminals, and lugs. + Collaborate with launch engineers to troubleshoot failures and issues derived from launch activities. + Perform maintenance tasks as required in a variety of roles for vehicle integration, pad maintenance, site preventative maintenance, and general facilities maintenance. **Essential Skills** + Proficiency in tube bending, schematic and blueprint interpretation. + Experience in integration testing and fabrication. + Skillful use of hand tools, thermocouple instrumentation, and electrical systems. + Troubleshooting and signal conditioning. + Competency in Microsoft Office applications. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + 3+ years of experience as a mechanic, technician, or construction worker. + 3+ years of experience in tube bending and customizing pipes. + Ability to use computers or iPads. + Preferred backgrounds in oil & gas or pharmaceutical industries. + 3+ years of experience using power tools professionally. + 1+ years of experience with electronic system assembly and construction. + Experience working at a rocket launch facility. + Associate degree in instrumentation, control technology, electrical systems, or related fields. + Experience in corrosive environments and mitigation techniques. + System-level troubleshooting skills and logical problem-solving capabilities. + Knowledge in signal conditioning concepts for various sensors. + Intermediate skill level using Microsoft Office. **Why Work Here?** Join a dynamic team where innovation and precision drive our mission forward. Shifts are available from Sunday to Thursday or Tuesday to Saturday, with options for daytime and nighttime schedules. **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract position based out of Cocoa, Florida. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $33.00/hr.
