**Job Title: Instrumentation & Control Technician**
**Job Description**
As an Instrumentation & Control Technician, you will perform preventive maintenance on equipment using Operation and Maintenance manuals as reference. You will be responsible for overhauling various types of pumps, performing rigging tasks, repairing and maintaining process equipment, and ensuring all facility-owned tools are in good working condition.
**Responsibilities**
+ Perform preventive maintenance on equipment using O&M manuals as reference.
+ Overhaul progressive cavity, reciprocating, diaphragm, metering, and centrifugal pumps.
+ Tighten joints, replace gaskets, replace seals, fill oil reservoirs and grease cups, and change bearings.
+ Operate all machine shop tools such as lathes, drill press, milling machine, and welders.
+ Perform rigging tasks.
+ Replace sections of process, drain, and vent piping and related components.
+ Repair, maintain, and/or replace process or balance-of-plant furnace burners and related equipment.
+ De-rust, prime, and repaint structural steel or process equipment.
+ Perform preventive maintenance procedures using predictive tools like ultrasonic measurement, balancing, and laser alignment.
+ Maintain housekeeping standards at a high level by cleaning up work area at the end of each job or shift.
+ Perform all work in a safe, professional, and workmanlike manner.
**Essential Skills**
+ Mechanical aptitude.
+ Experience in wastewater and water treatment.
+ Electrical troubleshooting and repair skills.
+ Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics.
+ Experience with preventive maintenance and installation.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ High school diploma or equivalent.
+ Demonstrated knowledge of mechanical processes.
+ Ability to perform maintenance activities.
+ 3+ years relevant experience in a manufacturing or process plant environment.
+ Possession of or ability to obtain MA Hoisting Licenses 1C, 2A, 3A within six months of hire.
+ Possession of or ability to obtain OSHA 30 Certification within six months of hire.

**Work Environment**
Work at theWater Plant located in Philadelphia, The facility operates on a Monday to Friday day shift schedule with an on-call rotation. The Facility produces pellets for sale in organic fertilizer and renewable fuel markets, maximizing sustainability while streamlining costs.
**Job Type & Location**
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $39.00 - $42.00/hr.
