Our client, a leader in Automotive manufacturing , is seeking a Instrument Technician to join their team. As a Instrument Technician, you will be part of the Maintenance Department supporting the Operations team. **Job Title:** Instrument Technician 1 **Location:** Pontiac, MI **Pay Range:** $20 - $22 per hour **What's the Job?** + Perform scheduled preventive maintenance tasks, such as checking, cleaning, and repairing equipment, to detect and prevent problems. + Examine work orders and converse with equipment operators to detect equipment problems and to ascertain whether mechanical or human errors contributed to the problems. + Set up and test industrial equipment to ensure that it functions properly. + Operate equipment to demonstrate proper use and to analyze malfunctions. + Repair and adjust equipment, machines, and defective components, replacing worn parts such as gaskets and seals in watertight electrical equipment. **What's Needed?** + Associate's degree or equivalent experience/training required. + 0-2 years experience required. + Basic knowledge of circuit boards, processors, chips, electronic equipment, and computer hardware. + Basic knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance. + Creativity, verbal and written communication skills, analytical and problem solving ability. **What's in it for me?** + Opportunity to work in a dynamic and supportive environment. + Gain valuable hands-on experience with industrial electronic equipment. + Collaborate with a dedicated team of professionals. + Enhance your technical skills and career growth potential. + Be part of a company committed to safety and quality standards.
