Position Summary
This faculty role is designed for a clinician-investigator with a strong interest in lupus. The position includes clinical and research time, supporting both high-quality patient care and academic development. The successful candidate will contribute to the expansion and long-term vision of a dedicated Lupus Center, with a focus on optimizing patient access, care delivery, and scholarly impact.
Clinical Responsibilities
+ Provide outpatient clinical care for patients with systemic lupus erythematosus and related autoimmune conditions.
+ Practice primarily within the Johns Hopkins outpatient setting, with integration into the broader lupus program as appropriate.
+ Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver comprehensive, coordinated lupus care.
+ Participate in programmatic initiatives aimed at advancing specialized lupus services.
Academic and Scholarly Responsibilities
+ Use protected time to develop or expand an academic focus in lupus, which may include clinical research, translational research, outcomes research, or education.
+ Participate in ongoing research activities within the Division of Rheumatology and contribute to sponsored research efforts.
+ Engage in teaching and mentorship of trainees, including fellows, residents, and medical students, consistent with academic rank.
+ Contribute to scholarly productivity through publications, presentations, and grant activity, as appropriate.
Qualifications
+ MD or MD/PhD or MD/MPH with board certification or board eligibility in Rheumatology.
+ Demonstrated interest or expertise in systemic lupus erythematosus.
+ Commitment to excellence in patient care, academic scholarship, and teaching.
+ Eligibility for appointment at the Assistant or Associate Professor level, commensurate with experience.
Salary: $105,125 - $171,901 per year
