**Job Summary**
**Auburn University’s Strategic Business Operations unit is excited to begin the search for an Instructional Designer!** This position will provide instructional design services and support across Business & Administration units in the development of training programs and materials. This role may act as a facilitator for training using a variety of training methods (classroom, webinars, train-the-trainer). Additionally, this position will collaborate with the Business & Administration units to create high quality, consistent, and scalable training materials that drive Auburn’s ongoing business modernization initiatives.
**Essential Functions**
+ Manages, facilitates, and participates in training development projects, as well as the development of instructional materials.
+ Collaborates with Business & Administration units to design and develop interactive training programs and materials.
+ Determines appropriate instructional application of online technologies in conjunction with stakeholders.
+ Teaches/facilitates instructor led-courses of own design and those designed by others as assigned.
+ Researches and utilizes the most up-to-date practices and technologies related to instructional design and online learning applications.
+ Gathers feedback from stakeholders to continually update and improve course design and content.
+ May perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

**Level I:**
+ Bachelor’s degree + 1 year of experience **OR**
+ Master’s degree
**Level II:**
+ Bachelor’s degree + 3 years of experience **OR**
+ Master’s degree + 1 year of experience
**LevelIII :**
+ Bachelor’s degree + 5 years of experience **OR**
+ Master’s degree + 3 year of experience
**Level IV:**
+ Bachelor’s degree + 7 years of experience **OR**
+ Master’s degree + 5 year of experience
**Focus of Experience:** Experience in designing and developing online instructional materials and courses.
Minimum Skills, License, and Certifications
**Minimum Skills and Abilities**
+ Knowledge of implementing fundamental concepts, practices, and procedures of particular field of specialization, with awareness of related fields.
+ Familiarity with Universal Design for Learning (UDL ) and theADDIE model.
+ Knowledge of best practices for creating online courses.
