We are seeking an Instructional Designer to join our team for at least six months as part of a Full Potential initiative. The role involves owning the design and development of targeted, technical learning experiences to enhance employee performance across various functional departments. You will conduct needs assessments, create learning objectives, and ensure high-quality training outcomes in alignment with company policies and regulations.
ResponsibilitiesPartner with business subject-matter-experts (SMEs) to understand key business functions, systems, and processes.Collaborate with the learning and development team to identify coursework needs, priorities, delivery methods, and schedules.Gain familiarity with Learning Management Systems (LMS) for content design, testing, and deployment.Develop assessment instruments to measure learner acceptance, comprehension, and application of knowledge.Conduct stakeholder and SME interviews to determine project communication and training standards.Create and own a formal intake and development process based on models such as ADDIE.Professionally communicate with all stakeholders throughout project lifecycles.Utilize various media to produce materials promoting learning through multiple modalities.Work with cross-functional stakeholders to create instructionally sound learning solutions.Create and maintain graphics, videos, animations, and other content using tools like Articulate Storyline and Adobe Captivate.Solicit feedback on training coursework and participate in cross-functional meetings to identify training needs.Gather and evaluate information from previous training to identify opportunities for improvement.Provide regular communications, mentoring, and teambuilding to managers and co-workers as needed.Utilize LEAN concepts or continuous improvement methodologies to ensure efficient operations.Promote the company mission, vision, and values through ethical business practices and championing diversity, equity, and inclusion.
Essential SkillsMinimum 3-5 years of experience in needs assessments, designing and delivering training for adult learners, and evaluating learning programs.Experience with learning management systems.Proficiency in Articulate 360 Suite and Microsoft Office.Ability to juggle multiple projects simultaneously and be receptive to feedback.Superior listening, collaboration, conflict management, and communication skills.Excellent facilitation and presentation skills.Proficiency with course development using e-learning tools and multimedia programs.
Additional Skills & QualificationsBachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in education, adult learning, instructional system design, or related fields.Experience with Speechify, Audacity, SnagIt, and learning design concepts.Understanding of outcomes-based curriculum development and competency-based programs.
Work Environment
This position is fully remote with potential travel. Candidates in the Midwest are preferred due to cost of living considerations, but candidates can also work on-site at any of our office locations in San Jose, St. Louis, or Minneapolis, or choose a hybrid model. The current Learning & Development team is predominantly remote.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $48.00/hr.
