Job Description
We are seeking an Instructional Designer to join our team for at least six months, contributing to the Full Potential initiative, which involves 40 additional projects. The role involves designing and developing technical learning experiences to improve employee performance across various functional departments. You will conduct needs assessments, link results to competence and business outcomes, create learning objectives, and ensure high-quality communication and training outcomes aligned with company policies and objectives.
Responsibilities
Partner with business subject-matter-experts (SMEs) to understand key business functions and processes, and identify targeted experiences to improve human performance and business results.Collaborate with the learning and development team to identify coursework needs, priorities, delivery methods, timelines, schedules, deadlines, and partnerships.Gain familiarity with Learning Management Systems (LMS) to understand functionality for content design, testing, and deployment.Develop assessment instruments to measure learner acceptance, comprehension, and application of processes and systems knowledge, and report on assessment results.Conduct stakeholder and SME interviews to determine, recommend, and document project communication and training standards, learner engagement strategies, and evaluation plans.Create and own a formal intake and development process based on models such as ADDIE, emphasizing Goal/Task/Performance gap analysis.Communicate professionally with all stakeholders throughout each project lifecycle, developing effective project implementation and evaluation plans.Utilize a variety of media to produce materials promoting learning through various modalities such as self-study, practice, performance support, socialization, and knowledge sharing.Work with cross-functional stakeholders to create an instructionally sound learning solutions suite, including instructor-led workshops, webinars, online tutorials, and other creative solutions.Create and maintain graphics, infographics, videos, animations, interactions, instructor guides, quick guides, FAQs, and job-aids using tools such as Articulate Storyline or Adobe Captivate.Essential Skills
Minimum 3-5 years of experience in needs assessments, designing and delivering instructor-led and online training for adult learners, and evaluating learning programs.Experience with learning management systems.Great communication skills and ability to conduct meetings with SMEs and stakeholders.Experience with Articulate 360 Suite.Proficiency in Microsoft Office - Teams, SharePoint, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook.Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and be receptive to feedback.Superior listening, collaboration, conflict management, and verbal and written communication skills.Ability to facilitate diverse work teams and communicate with employees at all levels.Additional Skills & Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in education, adult learning, instructional system design, communications, human performance, business, or a related field is preferred.Experience with tools such as Speechify, Audacity, and SnagIt.Knowledge of learning design concepts, outcomes-based curriculum development, competency-based programs, adult learning principles, and the learning development life cycle.Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $48.00/hr.
