Instructional Designer

This position requires a skilled Instructional Designer with UX Design expertise to contribute to creating impactful training solutions. You will collaborate with various stakeholders to enhance learning experiences for associates and leaders, leveraging design tools and methodologies to achieve exceptional results. Responsibilities + Collaborate with other Instructional Designers and UX designers to develop and design learning content using Articulate Storyline 360 and Adobe Creative Suite. + Create visually compelling instructor-led and self-paced training materials. + Conduct needs analysis to identify learning objectives and develop engaging content. + Interpret data trends to adjust content and design effectively. + Write clear and concise standard work for instructional design and UX processes. + Engage with stakeholders to gather insights on learning objectives and propose solutions. + Manage project tasks and milestones within a standard project management platform. + Provide well-written monthly updates on content and design progress. + Create animations and illustrations for instructional use. + Ensure consistency across content by following and contributing to design systems. + Optimize designs for multiple modalities including desktop, tablet, and mobile. Essential Skills + Bachelor's Degree in instructional technology, educational technology, organizational development, graphic design, visual communication, or related fields. + At least 3 years of work experience in instructional design or UX design. + Advanced experience with Articulate Storyline for at least 3 years. + Experience in developing self-paced eLearning curriculum, storyboards, job aids, online tutorials, and assessments. + Strong portfolio showcasing a range of visual design projects including animation. + Expertise in Adobe Illustrator and Animate. + Ability to absorb complex information quickly and explain it simply to non-experts. + Capability to manage multi-channel tasks and adjust priorities as needed. + Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite including PowerPoint, Word, Excel, and Outlook. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Coding skills with experience in HTML, JavaScript, CSS, and related languages. + Industry certifications in instructional design, curriculum development, performance improvement, project management, or content-specific certifications (CPLP, CPT, etc.). + Project management experience including planning, managing details, and time management. + Excellent group facilitation and content delivery skills. + Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication abilities. + Ability to influence and partner with different organizational levels to achieve results. + Experience adhering to and understanding style guides or design systems. + Familiarity with learning or instructional design for UX designers. + Knowledge of accessibility standards and inclusive design principles. + Experience with user research and testing to inform design decisions. Work Environment The role requires working 40 hours weekly, with a schedule determined based on local time and team needs. The position may involve travel once per quarter. The work environment promotes collaboration but also allows for independent work. Opportunities for extension and conversion are possible based on performance and project needs. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Bellevue, Washington. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $52.00 - $55.00/hr.
