Job Title: Instructional Designer

Job Description

We are seeking a highly innovative and strategic Instructional Designer to architect transformative learning experiences that drive measurable performance outcomes. This role blends instructional theory, cutting-edge technology, and business insight to deliver impactful, learner-centric solutions aligned with organizational goals.

ResponsibilitiesConduct thorough needs assessments, performance gap analyses, and stakeholder interviews to uncover learning opportunities and define the right solutions.Translate business challenges into targeted learning strategies that support key performance indicators (KPIs).Design comprehensive, multimodal learning journeys including eLearning, instructor-led (ILT/vILT), microlearning, infographics, simulations, and job aids.Ensure solutions are interactive, goal-oriented, and grounded in adult learning principles to maximize retention and application.Develop high-quality, instructionally sound content using tools like Articulate 360, Adobe Creative Suite, Camtasia, Figma, and Synthesia.Deliver scalable, visually engaging, and brand-consistent learning experiences across platforms.Create detailed facilitator guides with clear learning objectives, activity timing, talking points, setup instructions, and contingency plans.Ensure consistent delivery and learner experience across instructors and sessions.Lead Train-the-Trainer (TTT) programs, facilitator certification, and coaching to ensure trainers are confident, aligned, and effective.Provide live demonstrations and feedback to elevate instructional delivery.Design formative and summative assessments to measure learning effectiveness.Apply evaluation models and integrate feedback, behavioral data, and performance metrics to refine learning solutions.Collaborate with media and tech teams to incorporate advanced learning elements such as gamification, simulations, animations, and interactive infographics.Pilot emerging technologies and continuously evolve learning experiences.Present learning strategies and design deliverables to cross-functional leaders and subject matter experts (SMEs).Influence decisions through evidence-based design and strong business acumen.Stay current with L&D trends, learning science, and instructional technologies.Evaluate and recommend innovative tools and methods to enhance learning outcomes.Essential SkillsBachelor’s degree in Instructional Design, Educational Technology, or related field.5+ years of experience leading end-to-end L&D projects—from needs analysis to evaluation.Proven ability to design from scratch using adult learning theory, taxonomy, multimedia principles, and performance-based design.Skilled in Articulate Storyline 360, Rise, Camtasia, Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, and Synthesia.Familiarity with SCORM/xAPI standards and LMS platforms.Experience storyboarding and scripting for media and video production.Exceptional written, visual, and verbal communication.Strong attention to detail, organization, and project management.Comfortable navigating ambiguity, collaborating cross-functionally, and iterating quickly.Ability to evaluate training effectiveness and calculate ROI.Additional Skills & QualificationsFamiliarity with emerging instructional technologies and methods.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Work Environment

This position includes onsite training and offers the potential to transition into a hybrid schedule, providing flexibility between remote and in-office work. The workweek begins on Monday.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $40.00/hr.
